New research: ‘PURGE’
June

A new research that starts in the place of celebration. A place where the body is uncensored, free to give reign to any expression that is there. In this early research we seek to access this force and ask what kind of scales, parameters and limitations can be ascribed to the indescribable?

This project is a continuation of our research into choreography as a relational artform. In our understanding relational refers to an expanded level of perception that acknowledges the presences and quality of other bodies, be that the layers of the performing body, the ‘other’ body of the audience or the body of the material that composes the architecture of the space. Our methodology seeks to dialogue with, integrate and develop these bodies through a practice based approach.

In this phase of our research we will be working with the singing practitioner Emma Bonnici.
